Who are we? What are we about?
What is GIFT about?
GIFT is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to supporting adults with intellectual disabilities or delays (IDD) who have the ability to live somewhat independently.
Our goal is to help GIFT participants develop independent living skills so that they can live, socialize and work in the community.
We develop independence skills through educational and social experiences as well as leveraging partnerships with other supporting organizations. We're also committed to preparing capable IDD individuals for independent apartment living with oversight and support from GIFT.
Who is the target audience/candidate for GIFT?
Adults (and late teens approaching adulthood) with an IDD diagnosis who have the potential to live independently with minimal to moderate support. We realize that new GIFT candidates may not be ready to be independent now, but if they have the potential to live independently with appropriate preparation, they may be a candidate for GIFT.
What services does GIFT offer now?
